iSweetch s.r.l.s. is a newborn start-up that will soon become a spin-off of the University of Naples Federico II. Our activities are focused on the design and production of sweet proteins, with potential applications as sugar replacers in food and pharma industries. Our mission is to provide a new alternative to people suffering from diabetes or metabolic syndromes, who need to reduce their daily sugar intake, by presenting them with a new product with different characteristics compared to the sweeteners currently on the market. Our team is composed by three researchers with a strong background in structural biology, led by Professor Delia Picone at the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples, a CTO, a project manager and a lawyer.
