The Tuscany Life Science Cluster is the regional cluster that groups over 160 companies, SMEs and large industries operating in the region, in the fields of Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics, Medical Devices, Diagnostics and Nutraceuticals.
The Cluster also represents the regional public research system made by 5 universities representing one of the most active and interesting research hub in Italy.
The Cluster supports the companies ready to effectively answer to the market needs through the creation and consolidation of an integrated Regional Life Science System. The Cluster is an initiative of Tuscany Region, with the aim to stimulate the establishment of networking activities between companies and the research system. Its aim is to operate by fostering the integration and development of skills and technologies, innovative products and processes that are the basis of the growth of competitiveness and the creation of new business opportunities.
The Tuscany Life Science Cluster wants to establish itself as a model of development and competitiveness for companies and research activities in the field of Life Sciences; through the stimulation of demand for innovation and technology transfer and the construction of a connective tissue to help the Cluster members.
